Breaking down Cedric Rivrain's illustrations...

When I began my interpretations of Cedric Rivrain's illustrations, I realised how difficult they were, as they are very life like. I found them a lot more difficult and time consuming than Fleur's as well as less enjoyable to do. this was probably due to the lack of colour compared to Fleur's as well as the minimal room for error as his illustrations are very precise.
To begin, i took Rivrains's faces and worked on the eyes, lips and masks which he often uses.

These faces took alot of practice, as the difficulty was increased by the lack of clour Rivrain uses in his backgrounds.
After I completed these faces, I moved on to attempting more of Rivrain's illustrations, adding colour etc where possible.
